Program: Keene Parks and Recreation offers a variety of youth sports that are designed for local children to learn the basics of playing in a safe environment and at an affordable cost. KPRD offers six to eight week youth sports programs to introduce knowledge of the sport and fundamental skill development, with the desired outcome being fun. Our recreation division is passionate about providing a quality youth sports program for the City of Keene.
Age & Division: This league is built for High School kids (9-12th grade). There is no guarantee that your child will be placed on a specific team at your request. Please plan accordingly. All requests must be written on the registration form by both parties and must be done at the time of registration. The Keene Parks and Recreation Department reserves the right to limit registration and participation in any program. Keene Parks and Recreation also reserves the right to make other changes in the program, including but not limited to date and time changes, registration limit and others, as may be required.
Day and Times: Games will be held on Saturdays, starting May 4th and run until June 1st.
Practices will be during the week either on Monday, Tuesday or Wednesday. Every team will have one practice during the week and one game on the weekend.
Location: Jonathan Daniels field behind the Jonathan Daniels School.
Fee: Resident is $45.00 and non-resident is $60.00. The cost of this program includes a uniform and flags for each participant. Please make all checks payable to City of Keene. Registration can be done online at https://keeneparks.recdesk.com/Community/Home or at the recreation center.
Volunteer: Our Youth Flag Football league is run by volunteer coaches! If interested in coaching please contact Meghan Spaulding at the Recreation Center at 357-9829 or firstname.lastname@example.org.
Deadline: Space is limited for this program. Once we are full we will accept a waiting list but there are no guarantees that they will be placed into the program.
