October 2017 marks the 30th anniversary of National Domestic Violence Awareness Month

The Monadnock Center for Violence Prevention is holding a cell phone drive to raise awareness about how domestic violence impacts the whole community.  Cellphones may be brought to KPD anytime in October and given to our dispatcher for recycling.

MCVP recycles the cell phones through a program called Shelter Alliance. Shelter Alliance is the flagship program of GRC Wireless (www.grcwireless.com) and is the largest grassroots cell phone recycling program in North America. They have responsibly recycled millions of cell phones and smartphones since 2001 and are the trusted recycling partner to thousands of organizations and businesses nationwide. MCVP receives anywhere from $0.10 to $50 per phone depending on age and condition.
