Signups start January 2nd, 2019
In the basic fishing course you will explore the skills and equipment needed and resources available to you to start your journey to becoming an angler. Topics covered in this course include basic rods and reels, safety, knot tying, fish identification, ethics, rules and regulations, and aquatic ecology. After completing a classroom session you'll get the chance to put your new skills to the test; you'll head out to a local pond and do some fishing!
Participants must attend all sessions, and provide their own transportation to the fishing field trip location (local pond that will be announced). No fishing license is required and all equipment will be supplied.
This program is for ages 8 years old and up. There is a minimum requirement of having at least 8 people signed up to have the class run. It is on January 31st, 2019 from 6:00-8:00pm and the field trip is on February 2nd, 2019 from 9:00-1:00 pm.
