On January, 3rd, the Keene Sentinel announced that the Keene Public Library fundraising campaign committee has reached its $5 million fundraising goal for the long-awaited project that will connect its existing building to the old Masonic temple next door. You can visit The Sentinel Source to read the full article.
Construction has started. You may have seen the fencing and some extra big vehicles at the library. We have to admit that there may be some inconveniences during our expansion but we'll keep you posted. One thing that has been affecting is parking. The parking spots between our main building and the Library Annex and on the West side of the Annex are not available. To help we've created a Google map of other available parking and a pdf map that you can download.
We think you'll like the end result. Some of the improvements we are looking forward to are more space for meetings, events and performances, a Makerspace, and an instruction space, For more information about our plans, visit The Next Chapter - KPL Capital Campaign.
