The Keene Public Library is pleased to announce a Winter Reading Program, which has been created to give kids, teens, and adults incentive to use that library card and get ready to spend cozy winter times with a soft blanket, warm mug, and a good book. Readers and listeners can sign up, print out a program sheet, and pick up winter reading materials at the library.
The Winter Reading Program will run through March 3, 2018. The goal of the program is simple: read books and visit the library. The challenge is to read three books and to visit the library two times. Adults are asked to read two books and visit the library two times.
As part of the Winter Reading Program, the Keene Public Library will host a Hygge Open House on Saturday, February 17 at 1 p.m. Relaxing activities to help you feel cozy, and content. Hygge (pronounced hoo-ga) is the Danish tradition of fighting off the winter blues by embracing all things cozy. Come explore Hygge at our Open House. There will be crafts, book chats, and warming Scandinavian treats to try. Bring your latest craft project, a good book, and your appetite. Experience a taste of the Hygge life!
The Keene Public Library is located at 60 Winter Street. Call the library at 603-352-0157 to register or for more information about youth and family programs.
