TREE LIGHTING CEREMONY
On November 25th, the Friday after Thanksgiving, the annual Tree Lighting Celebration, hosted by your Kiwanis Club, will be held on Central Square from 5:30 p.m. to 7:30 p.m. Prior to the 25th, we will be setting up and lighting the tree, decorating the Gazebo, and lighting the lamp posts along Main St. down to the Winchester St. traffic circle. Also, this year we are hoping to set up another tree in the middle of the Winchester St. traffic circle, thus giving the length of Main St. a very festive feel.
At the Tree Lighting Celebration, the Keene Brass Quintet, the Dublin Christian Academy Chorus, along with the Monadnock Youth Chorus, will lead the children of our community in caroling. There will be much holiday joy to be shared. B&J Lighting and Sound will be doing the sound for the evening and there will be a reading of “Twas the Night before Christmas”. Our fourth year of celebrating the Tree Lighting promises to be even more fun for our community than in the previous years!
We hope you will join us on the Friday after Thanksgiving for this fun, and joyous celebration. Bring the kids and enjoy the cookies and hot chocolate, and, of course, Santa and Mrs. Claus.
