Housing Standards Board of Appeal

The Board will hear appeals from any person aggrieved by an order, decision or requirement of the housing standards officer under Chapter 18, Article Ill, Property and Housing Standards, with the exception of Section 18~300. The Board may affirm, reverse or modify such order, decision, or requirement of the housing standards officer when in the opinion of the board, the enforcement of the order, decision or requirement would do manifest injustice and would be contrary to the spirit and purpose of Chapter 18, Article III, Property and Housing Standards and the public interest. Furthei, the Board may waive the requirements of Chapter 18, article III subsection 18·241 (10) and (II), when it bas been shown that the requirements create II hardship due to the unique characteristics of the site.
