It is my pleasure to welcome you to the Keene Police Department’s website.   As the hub of Cheshire County, Keene is a busy and vibrant community with the best of what the Monadnock Region has to offer.  A great sense of community exists here and it is from that perspective that we work to focus our law enforcement activities.

We are a full service Police Department attending many different needs. Our relationships with others in the community are important and help drive our efforts.  Attending to quality of life issues has become an important priority.  By developing partnerships and working with others, we are gaining a better understanding of those needs and improving our efforts in analyzing data to move us toward a model of intelligence led policing.

The professionalism and hard work displayed by our Officers is essential to carrying out our mission. Their skills and abilities allow us to provide a full range of police services ranging from accident to homicide investigations.

This website has been developed to help provide information that is important to the community and in helping them understand the men and women of the Department and what we are all about.  In that respect, we will continually work to make improvements to this site that will provide the citizens of Keene an understanding of the work we do. 

We believe in keeping the public informed as to what is actually happening in the City.  Police logs, crime statistics, special reports, and crime mapping are all available on-line to provide the transparency so essential in today’s policing.  Involvement and feedback from the community is what helps us solve crime and improve our service.
