Marketing/Community Identity

It is easy to remain unaware of the artistic and cultural richness of the region where we live. Remaining a dynamic center of cultural activity requires active promotion of cultural assets, which in turn takes commitments of time and money and collaboration between various groups. We should promote our arts and cultural opportunities to residents and tourists by engaging the Chamber of Commerce, using joint advertising, using various media to disseminate information highlighting cultural and artistic attractions, and create an overarching identity for the region’s arts and culture that can be used to brand and market the area. Any marketing strategy should use the recent Americans for the Arts Economic Impact Study to promote the economic impact and vitality of our region’s arts and culture and to promote our quality of life.
