Runway Construction Project Begins May 12th
Runway Construction Project
The Runway 2/20 Rehabilitation Project began on May 12, 2014 with the closure of the Runway. Milling of the paved surface has been completed. The paving of the runway has has been completed. Construction of a new taxilane east of the terminal ramp is also complete. This taxilane will provide access to hangar development sites, as outlined in the Airport Master Plan. The major components of the project have been completed and both Runway 14/32 and Runway 2/20 are now open.
Improvements to the safety areas west and southwest of Runway 2/20 have also been completed. Additional work effors necessary to complete the project will continue over the next several weeks. Please check the Federal Aviation Administration’s Notices to Airmen (NOTAM’s) regularly for occasional runway and taxiway closure information.
